Summer School 2017: IT Law and Legal Informatics

This year, the Institute of Legal Informatics at Saarland University will be holding for the first time a summer school on "IT Law and Legal Informatics" in Saarbrücken from 21 August to 1 September 2017.  It is aimed at researchers who are keen to discuss current topics of IT law and legal informatics in an international forum.

Aim

The summer school aims to give young researchers from all over the world the unique opportunity to learn more about current topics of IT Law and Legal Informatics from renowned experts and to participate  in research through their own contribution.

Topic Areas

Sessions will cover four topic areas:

  • Autonomous Systems;
  • "Internet of Things" and IT Security;
  • Data Protection and Big Data; and
  • Legal Tech.

Further Highlights

A further highlight will be the extensive social program on offer.

There is no participation fee for the summer school although participants must pay towards the cost of excursions.
